I have noted that LEF is selling Pyridoxamine and now two options of Mitochondrial Energy Optimizer, with pyridoxamine and with pyridoxal-5-phosphate:

Finally has not been forbidden pyridoxamine? I understood LEF would stop selling pyridoxamine due to FDA ban.

Really I find pyridoxamine more interesting than pyridoxal-5-phosphate, I would be so happy if pyridoxamine wasnt finally banned.

Life Extension will continue to sell its remaining stock of pyridoxamine-containing products, but cannot produce any new ones.

Thank you, it's a pity this ban.

This is the first time I've heard about this ban. Is this the first indication that big pharma will be slowly taking over the vitamin supplement business one nutrient at a time? It is interesting how competitive drug manufacturing is. Read story HERE

I hope this doesn't mean that a simple supplement with a low retail cost will now cost consumers hundreds of dollars because it is now called a "drug". I have also read about the pharmaceutical drug fraud going on with generic, prescription drugs. Read the stories -

Because of the lower prices from off shore prescription drugs, many companies are now getting into the prescription drug selling business. I don't think they realize that some of those "low" cost drugs may be low potency or even fake. I'm not against pharmaceutical drugs if they can help someone. What I dislike is fraud, deception, and greed that appears to be connected to pharmaceutical drug manufacturing and selling.

Can anyone offer insight on this subject?

Tom, LEF published this summer an article about this ban, which was announced past February by FDA
