Elected for surgery to repair but after months my hormone panel was still very low. Been on HRT from my physician for 2 years using the following protocol: 200 mg test weekly HCG 300 IU 2 x week HgH 2 IU 5 x week T3 50 mcg daily
When I first began this protocol I felt great. Increase in well-being. lower body fat, improved mood, increase in strength. I am 45 yrs of age. I exercise regularly and eat healthy and live a very clean lifestyle. Recently I am noticing that I am having a decrease in energy, low libido, trouble sleeping and having some mild depression.
Yes I know I should have my blood work done again but wanted to get some feedback on persons who have been on HRT for the long term and what they did to continue getting good results. Is it possible that I have blown out my receptors? | | Back to Top

Wouldn't the test suppress the feedback loop of LH, as HcG would increase LH and T in the absence of supplemental T, especially now after 2 years? Have you given your testes a chance to recover after surgery? | | Back to Top

I found an excellent doctor on the website "thedefinitivemind.com" Dr. R. Mariano, who helped me. Most doctors do not know about nor treat adrenal fatigue, and I would like you to know that it is something you should look into At your age (which I am 46 yrs old) and had the same problems, you may just have an underactive thyroid and your adrenal glands are fatigued. I have learned that just by treating one hormone deficiency, may help for awhile, but if one type of hormone is needed, then your body and mind may very likely need supplementation with other hormones such as thyroid and/or DHEA, cortisol. good luck. | | Back to Top
