Welcome aboard doc, Im sure we would all like to know a bit about you. I for one would like to know some about about your life style; age, diet, supplements, exercise, health status, what diagnostic tests you routinely have performed, and, as well, as any other info you might care to share. If for any reason you do not feel comfortable divulging any of the above, feel free to ingore it and tell what you freely want to. Im sure we will all understand. If you wish to substitute recommendations for personal info that will also be fine.
Que le vaya bien,
Thomas
In case this didnt come through, my credentials are at briefcase.yahoo.com/laportama

and Im often in the Yahoo Alt Med chat room. MAL

Ill try to post my photo, too. Look at my Yahoo briefcase. briefcase.yahoo.com/laportama

I am often in the AltMed chat room on Yahoo. Loved by some, despised by others!

One of the tricks we have to accomplish having licensed MDs at LEF is to make it VER-y clear that we are not prescribing! There is no true doctor-patient relationship established--in fact its against the law! Many callers here have to struggle with that.

Im forty-five, I bicycle instead of drive whenever its practical (and its amazing how it just seems to become more practical!). Im a board-certified internist and I enjoy communications skills and getting to the bottom of a problem; my function at LEF Advisor Group is to help coordinate our daily dozens of calls about issues that are just slightly over the heads of the advisors-- who are the most up to date but havent had much exposure to the good side of the medical mindset-- so that we can advise the advisors on recurring topics, and communications improve weekly. Also, LEF receives hundreds of calls per week about lab tests, reports, and potential drug-supplement interactions. We help field those calls. Most of my callers are referred back to an advisor so that they may jointly make decision and plan a coherent and cohesive regimen.

All that having been said, Im a diagnostic and therapeutic minimalist!

What else would you like to know?
