Well folks it looks as though we may have a safe, non-stick coating for cookware called Thermolon. Does anyone know anything about this product or have you used it? It was introduced a couple years ago.

From the MANUFACTURES WEBSITE:

A new PTFE-free and PFOA free non-stick coating has been developed called "Thermolon". It is a mineral coating derived from silica (sand) that contains no toxins and has been tested and certified to be 100% safe.

No harmful fumes in the air when cooking.
No harmful byproducts or residue in food.
High temperature rating of up to 850 F/450 C.
